Lilly Korea announced Mr. Christopher J. Stokes (picture) was appointed as new CEO on August 1st.
New CEO is a pharmaceutical and healthcare expert who has built work experiences in global pharmaceutical industry for over 15 years. Before appointment as CEO of Lilly Korea, he has been working as CEO of Eli Lilly South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa since 2020.
Mr. Stokes first joined the US headquarters of Eli Lilly in 2008 as a public policy analyst, and has since been in charge of public relations, government relations, drug pricing, strategic planning, and new product planning.
After graduating from George Mason University in the US in 2002, he received his master's degree in public administration from Indiana University Bloomington in 2005.
Mr. Stokes said, "As Lilly Korea's new CEO, with a great sense of responsibility, I will do my best to help more Korean patients leading a better life through Lilly's innovative medicines, and furthermore, to deliver a positive impact on Korean society."
