On June 2, Roche Korea and Roche Diagnostics Korea had "Roche Children’s Walk", a donation campaign to support underprivileged children, at the Daechiyusu Sports Park.
Roche Children’s Walk is an annual social contribution activity, in which the Roche Group, a global healthcare company, brings together more than 100,000 employees around the world to walk for children and raise money for charity to improve the health and well-being of underprivileged children.
This year marks its 20th anniversary since the first meaningful step for children around the world began in 2003.
Over 100 employees participated in this year's event and pledged to walk a total of 100 km by June 15 to gather warm hearts for children in need.
"While we are faced with a growing problem of malnutrition and educational inequality among vulnerable children in the wake of the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we will work together to help more children in Korea and abroad this year," said Mr. Nic Horridge, President of Roche Korea.
Mr. Kit Tang, general manager of Roche Diagnostics Korea, said, "It is very meaningful that Roche employees around the world are walking and donating with warm heart for children. As responsible members of society, we pledge to continue our efforts and participation to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children."
