SK Telecom’s CEO Park Jung-ho will Attend GSMA Board Meeting on Feb. 24, 2019

To present SK Telecom’s achievements in the field of 5G

Seoul, South Korea, February 18, 2019 - SK Telecom (NYSE:SKM) announced that its CEO and President Park Jung-ho will participate in the GSMA Board Meeting to be held in Barcelona on February 24, 2019.

The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting more than 750 operators with over 350 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem. The GSMA Board is comprised of 26 members, 25 of which are chief executives of mobile operators. SK Telecom’s CEO Park Jung-ho has been elected as a Board Member in November 2018 to serve a two-year term from 2019-2020.

At the Board Meeting, CEO Park will share how SK Telecom is pioneering the field of 5G to accelerate the creation of a global 5G ecosystem. SK Telecom has launched commercial 5G network on December 1, 2018.

He will also talk about ‘5G Smart Factory,’ a service for enterprise customers the company began to provide with the launch of 5G, as well as ‘5G Smart Office,’ which promises to bring revolutionary changes to the way people work.

In addition, CEO Park plans to highlight SK Telecom’s achievements in ‘Roaming Innovation,’ which has been implemented last year to enhance customer value, and invite other global mobile operators to join the move.

SK Telecom will participate in the 2019 MWC Barcelona to be held from February 25 to 28.
