On October 25th, Yooyoung Pharmaceutical visited the Umyeon General Social Welfare Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to provide free meals to low-income senior citizens who live alone.
The free meal program for low-income seniors has been the Yooyoung's signature volunteer program since 2016.
Once a month, the company organizes volunteer groups composed of persons at each position to deliver and serve meals.
In this program, a group of new hires packed and delivered lunches from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to seniors who live alone with limited mobility.
The company's social contribution officer said, "Thanks to the active participation of our employees, we were able to share our warm hearts by helping out at the welfare center and serving meals to the elderly. This year, we are providing community meal service every month to practise ESG management and actively communicate with our employees."
