Ko Han-seung, chairman of the Korea Bio Association, ordered on the 30th that co-prosperity should be strengthened based on solidarity and cooperation between bio-industries for quantum jumping.
Chairman Koh Han-seung said in his "2024 New Year's Address," "We will support both companies and focus on enhancing synergy with each other through cooperation and mutual growth so that they can become leaders in new technologies in the rapidly changing global bio industry."
Chairman Koh said that despite difficulties this year, he supported start-up investment and fostering necessary human resources in the industry, and supported the revitalization of a sustainable bio-industry ecosystem by linking industry-academia research into one.
In particular, he stressed that the association played a role in expanding tax benefits for the biopharmaceutical sector and including the bio industry in the national high-tech strategic industry.
Chairman Koh said, "We focused on taking a step further to leap forward as a global bio powerhouse through cooperation with foreign companies, support for global expansion, and international bio conventions such as BioPlus-Interpex Korea."
There are a total of 630 member companies of the Korea Bio Association, consisting of venture and start-up companies in addition to large and medium-sized companies. It is forming an ecosystem with companies in the green, white, and convergence bio fields as well as Red Bio, including pharmaceutical fields.
